Welcome To
Human Design America
Ra Uru Hu founded Human Design America as the National Organization for the United States. In 2003, he appointed Genoa Bliven as Head Teacher and Director to further his original work and to establish a Human Design School in ways that are both comprehensive and relevant today.
Under the leadership of Genoa Bliven, Human Design America has grown into a contemporary, collaborative organization that brings together both tradition and innovation in a living way. Our creative and educational teams create beautifully illustrated manuals and comprehensive reference works based on Ra Uru Hu’s teachings. We publish and distribute these books to support students and teachers throughout the global Human Design community. Visit our web-store.

We lead ongoing classes centered on the creative process, where students explore and express their emerging self-knowledge. Through focused creative writing, shared with depth and presence, students recognize their own experience in new ways. Our teaching team enriches this work through appreciation and multiple perspectives. We cultivate deep listening, honor the healing power of Wild Mind Writing, and draw meaningful connections between students’ experience and their specific Design configuration.
We actively preserve the lineage of Ra Uru Hu through deep and detailed study of his work and revelation. We work with the intrinsic genius of the Human Design BodyGraph and foster empowerment through Type, Strategy, and Authority. In this way, each student develops a clear and personal relationship with their Design, grounded in direct recognition and a deepening trust in themselves.

You can study for your own personal growth or to become a certified Human Design Professional.
the human design system
Human Design differentiates people using the concepts of Definition and Openness. Definition represents an internal activation in the individual. It brings the potential for consistent development and expression of its qualities.
Undefined aspects are receptive. They have the potential to be open and experience the Defined energy of others. When people interact, an exchange takes place. People take in and feel Defined aspects through their open ones.
Below are the four main chapters you can use to gain deeper insight into the Human Design System.

The Nine Centers are represented by nine geometric shapes, and are the primary building blocks of a chart. Centers can be Defined (colored in) or Undefined (white).
The Human Design System groups people into one of four categories called Types: Manifestors, Generators, Projectors and Reflectors.
